journal entry 81

may 3, wednesday.

just got back from work, thought i'd write about what happened to me last night.

i'm fairly certain I had an encounter with dark heart last night.

i was in bed, actually dozing off for once, with the light off, but with one ear open. i'm a light dozer. anyway, i heard what sounded like someone moving around in the room. i assumed it was rusty making his midnight sandwich or something, but when i opened my eyes to look, the desk lamp was off and it was actually really dark in the room. i can't imagine anyone making a sandwich in that sort of darkness. but i saw in what dim light there was someone moving around in the room, and i could hear him moving.

i remembered i hadn't locked the door before going to sleep either.

"what are you doing?" i asked, still thinking it was rusty i was talking to.

it looked like the guy turned to look at me. then he slowly approached me. something glinted in his hand as if he was turning it. i figured it was probably a knife so i reacted like any guy probably would when being approached by a dude with a knife.

i made a run for it. i bolted out of that room and threw that door open. i was out of there. he didn't chase me so maybe he was just teasing me. or maybe he knew i couldn't tell who he was. who knows?

after learning more people had died this morning and seeing his post about "having fun", i knew i probably met him in my room last night. i'd just like to know what the heck he was doing in there. maybe he did intend to kill me.

i decided to stay with mike the rest of the night because i wasn't about to go back to my own room if psychos with knives were gonna go in there. i told him what happened and we talked about it.

he had left when i woke up this morning, though, and i didn't see him in class either. who knows what he was up to?

on another note, rusty himself was being a bit weird today. i mean, he's weird as it is, but he was doing a lot of mumbling and talking to himself today. he was mainly talking about marlee. i think he wants to ask her out. not sure how that would go down, though.

well, i think i'll leave it there. let's hope we get rid of dark heart before he kills anyone else.
